I stopped at traffic lights & the car stalled when I investigated the pulley belt was broken, I have since replaced this set up the timing & the car started straight away & sounds good but when I try to rev the engine it don't do anything it just sits there at just over 1000 revs with no response from the accelerator,
Please help,
Many thanks,
Mark.

Can you see if the throttle actuator is plugged in? Is there any codes? Here is a guide that will help you get the codes.

Please let us know what you find so it will help others.

To be honest I don't know where the throttle actuator is, but when I start the car it will let me rev for a while but if I let the revs go to tick over for a couple of seconds then that's it, it won't let me do anything after that.

Does the car drive okay? If it is in park or neutral it wont let you rev the engine which is normal, the computer is doing that as a safety for the engine.

It sounds like the actuator is bad or unplugged, did you scan for codes?
