lights will not go off even with key off

All the external lights stay on when you turn off key. The dinger still dings with out the key in ignition and the headlights and running lights stay on. Help please

this may be a bad headlight switch or it may be a drl module if you have daytime running lights check headlight switch first check the brown wire see if power is still going to it after switch has been turned off. it may also be your warning module but check the brown wire first as that can cause warning module to ding like it is. you'll have to get tit scanned to see if modules are problem.

Completely unhooked switch and lights stayed on. Was told truck didn't have drl

check body ground from battery and eng/battery grounds then otherwise unhook warning module and see if lights go out. if they do your module may be bad or something is powering it up like a melted harness etc.

Changed switch and plug going into switch, still same problem. Not sure where warning module is located.

try disconnecting anti theft module if lights go out the module is bad however your truck won't start

There's a white plug and a black plug. Unplug the white plug and the dinner went off and the lights went off.

Okay I'm hooked the white plug lights went out did start though. Do you think that the module is bad? Can I run it with a just unplug? Or do you recommend changing it?

try running it like that and if it gets to where it won't start try hooking the plug back up if it starts you are golden
