Hazard lights flash for roughly two to three minutes

My hazard lights flash for roughly two to three minutes anytime i do anything that turns on the cars power like; opening the door or starting the car up. The only way to stop my lights from flashing is to turn on my headlights but even then you can still hear the hazards blinking and you can see the yellow hazard lights on side of vehicle flash. I have no clue what to do or what to look at. Bought it has a cheap beater for work but would like to get her fixed
