lights becoming dimmer and battery light comes on if you accelerate above 60mph

My headlights will get dim then bright when I drive faster than 55mph. If i accelerate quickly from 55 to 65 or more the battery light will come on.

Take the car to autozone and have them to check the charging system (they'll do it for free). Seems like the alternator isn't charging enough, thus the dim lights which brighten when you rev the engine.
