license plate lights are not working?

There are two fuses (BCM#5 -7, backup lamp - under hood fuse panel #33) and one relay that run the system, here is the reverse light wiring diagrams so you can see how the system works and the fuse locations and how to test them with the reverse light relay location as well.

You can just replace the relay to see if that works. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.
