License plate lamps fuse location needed

Good evening,

There is no fuse for the lights. The body control module is what controls the lights based on the input from the multifunction switch.

I attached a diagram for you of the circuit.

You need a scan tool that can read the inputs and outputs from the body control module.

Thank you ASEMASTER6371 for the quick reply back! I’m still a little confused on where to go next. I recently replaced both bulbs with LEDs and of course they go out on me. So I wanted to check the fuse. Since there isn’t a fuse for that, could you explain some more on what to do next?

I would install the standard bulbs and see if they work.

Were there any resistors given to you for the bulbs? The body control module may not allow them to light due to the current flow.

I haven’t tried the old bulbs yet, but will definitely do that.

No resistors came with. Also, isn’t there actual fuses for the BCM? Would that have anything to do with my situation?

I’m thinking they got wet some how. When I took them out they had a smell to them. I tried another/same set of bulbs. Still nothing.

There are no fuses for the lights as in the diagram I attached. the BCM controls the ground side of the circuit.

I put the old bulbs back in and everything seems to work. They don’t seem as bright as they once were. Hopefully I didn’t harm anything with those LEDs.
