I ASSUME I HAVE A GASKET PROBLEM, THE ANTIFREEZE IS DISAPPEARING AND I HAVE NO LEAK.
HOW MUCH COULD IT COST TO REPLACE THE HEAD GASKETS(I ASSUME THAT WHERE THE ANTIFREEZE IS BURNING UP

Hi there,

Don't presume that you don't have a leak, get a cooling system pressure test done first, this is a very cheap test to prove any external leaks, start her and re post your findings.

THANKS, I WILL TEST FOR LEAK BUT THERE IS NO ANTIFREEZE ON THE GROUND-- IT MUST BE BURNING UP.

HOW MUCH IS A GASKET JOB IF THAT IS THE PROBLEM?

I will work out a price for this job based on the basic requirements, there will be the unknown factor as both heads will have to be tested for cracks, warp and twist, there will be basic machining costs, and additional costs if one or both heads have an internal problem, i will post this when i get access to Mitchell 1 data base a bit later today, as my local prices will not be any good for you as i live in Australia.

Hi there,

Checking on Mitchel 1 data base, this job will take approx 20Hrs with basic parts around $410.00

This will not include coolant, engine oil, filters, tune requirements, and any head repair work if required, the very basic would be around, $1500.00
