A few days ago the 120A ALT fuse under the hood blew, making it impossible to start my car, roll up windows, turn on radio, etc. Every auto parts store has 120A fuses, but they are not exactly the right size to fit. I have blown a few of them and even got a new wire running from the fuse box to the + terminal of the battery, thinking that it might have a short. Fuse still blew. I am wondering if I need to get this fuse directly from a Lexus dealer and what causes it to blow in the first place. I have just recently gotten a new alternator and battery so that cannot be the problem. Thanks.
