Drive Train Axles Bearings problem

Hello, I have two questions really. I have a 2002 Lexus RX that vibrates when I reach speeds in excess of 75 mph. What causes this and how much should it cost to fix. I have 1999 jeep grand cherokke 4.7L HOE. The engine is knocking which leads me to believe that I have a thrown rod. I would like to keep the Jeep whats the best way to replace the engine and tranny if thats what I need to do?
