Lexus RX300,1999, 65k.
A few weeks ago I lost the ability to set the clock time and to set vehicle information choices [ such as realtime average MPG] ;I would set them manually every time I start the car and then the settings will be "forgotten " by the next time I started the car.
Today I could not start the car.When I turned the ignition on the instrument panel started flickering and I hear a clanking or clicking sound coming from the engine as if something was trying to start,"fire"or engage w/o success.I opened the hood and could only guess that iti is coming from under the engine block.
Any help is appreciated.
