93 Lexus LS 400 (120K miles) V8 engine

Upon acceleration the car is extremely sluggish and takes once you reach 40 to 45 mph the car accelarate easily with no problem. Should you slow down again it is difficult to accelate to get back up to speed again.

try keeping it in first and see if the motor smoothes out at a certain RPM. I have had plugs that are bad give me a hard time at Low RMP's This could also be plug wires or rotors/caps (you have 2 of each) .
