The EVAP is part of the anti pollution equipment, part of its function is to trap fuel vapors from the tank and control tank venting, this is not working and this is the reason that the tank is over pressurizing and causing the very slow fill rate, not this can be inn the electrics or the system, a vacuum problem or a mechanical problem in the tank filler,

C1201 -- ABS Inlet Valve Coil LF Circuit Short To Ground...

Both these faults will have to be check by your Lexus tech.

Since these both happened at the same time, I'm leaning towards a bad connector somewhere, but thus far have not come across one where perhaps both of these functions would be present. I'll keep looking but will probably inevitably end up in the shop.

I doubt very much that these are connected, i would be thinking that these two faults have just happened to show up together, but stranger things have happened, please let me know what you find out so that i can add it to my data base of faults for further reference.

The dealership found two things. Actually a third problem arose since my last post. The car was overheating and losing coolant.
The dealership found that the PRV (?) valve on the side of the airbox was disconnected. It normally sucks clean air from the airbox and apparently all would have operated normally, until in got against another soft rubber hose and the vacuum attached it to that hose. That's apparently when I got my lights and codes.
The other problem was that the thermostat was installed incorrectly, positioned so that the bypass was in the wrong location.
Both of these problems were the result of a timing belt/water pump change several months earlier by a garage other than the Lexus dealership.
Lesson learned.

you know it is not rocket science working on most cars if you are qualified you should be able to do these jobs as a normal part of any working day, there are some out there that are either not qualified or are just not competent, and you will get that anywhere, i have worked in dealerships where i would not let some of the mechanics fix a push bike let alone a car, it is often the best method to ask friends and family who looks after there car, there are plenty of good honest and very competent mechanics out there, the problem is finding them..... good luck

I've had good luck with these guys in the past but they could have had a newer guy working that day. Many excuses are possible. I intend to let them know what was was found nicely as they do seem to be very reputable from my many past experiences.
