1998 Lexus LS 400 CD player

I have a 1998 Lexus LS 400. It has a 6CD player mounted inside above the glove compartment. The CD player cartridge has got stuck inside the palyer and won't come out when the eject button is activated. Would you be able to tell me how I can remove it ? Would I have to take out the entire assembly from inside the hood or there is an easier way to pull the cartridge out ?
