2001 Lexus IS 300 Problem with lack of acceleration

The engine stalls with negligible acceleration when applying gas. I was driving on the freeway at approx 60 when all of sudden the car stop moving even though I was applying gas. The check engine and trac lights turn on. I would appreciate any input from any one that may be familiar with this problem.. Thanks
