I have a new Lexus ISF- -Every time I make a sharp
turn (ususally backing up or getting out of small
space) at slow speed it makes a clunking sound like
the whole front end is falling out- -I have never had
to do this a high speed- - -I can hear it and even
feel it thru the steering wheel- - The dealer said it
was the differential and common on most Lexus
cars- - I don't know much about cars but I always
thought that the differential was not in the front
of rear wheel drive cars- -What do you think??

OK HERES A HONEST ANSWER , AND IM A LEXUS TECH ,
DONT EVER RETURN TO THAT DEALER ! RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN
CLUNK NOISE , WHILE TURNING IN A LOCK TO LOCK POSITION USUALLY PUTS ALOT OF STRESS ON ALL YOUR TURNING SUSPENSION PARTS SUCH AS ; BALL JOINTS
UPPER AND LOWER .
CAN YOU PIN POINT WHAT SIDE ITS COMING FROM ?
CAN YOU MAKE THE NOISE HAPPEN @ ALL TIMES OR IS IT INTERMITTENT ? KEY QUESTION THE DEALER SHOULD 'VE ASKED YOU
DIID YOU GET AN OFFER TO MAKE THE NOISE HAPPEN WITH A DIAGNOSTIC TECH ??
TRY FINDING A NEW DEALER AND ASK TO ROAD TEST WITH A QUALIFIED TECH .
GOOD LUCK ......
