Parking light replacement

My left front parking light bulb needs replacing and there isn't room to get a grip on the holder in order to remove it from its location. Any suggestions on how to replace this bulb? This is not the turn signal. It is a small bulb that is on the top of the headlight assembly and only comes on when the parking lights are on.

This lamp is called a clearance lamp. I am attaching the diagram and process below just to make sure we are talking about the same one.

Here is a guide that will help with this because in order to access that lamp you need to remove then lens:
