when car is started will not idle rite. give it gas it works normal till you let off gas. It depends on the time, sometimes it doesn't do it other times it takes between
10 sec. or 2 min. to rite it self. also the check engine light never comes on. but i know the bearings on the a/c pump are going out. please help, charlie. oh yea i also have changed the fuel filter.

Sounds like a problem with the idle speed controll valve.The Toyota/Lexus ones are very sensitive to carbon build up due to the design of them.You can try removing it and cleaning it out with carb cleaner, I have had moderate luck with cleaning them.If it changes the way it idles, you will at least know you are on the right track.If the car is drive by wire (no throttle cable) you can try cleaning out the throttle bore with carb cleaner and a rag,otherwise it may need a new throttle body
