Engine Performance problem
1998 Lexus ES 300 6 cyl Automatic 91,000 miles
I was recently told, after a diagnostic for a check engine light, that my B1S1 O2 Sensor (before catalytic converter) and MAF sensor had failed. I asked the service man if a failure of the O2 would make it appear that the MAF had failed which might make sense if the O2 were a feedback to the system containing the MAF. He said no. What is your opinion? Unfortunately I didn't ask for the specific diagnostic codes.
Would the Chilton's or Mitchell1 repair manual be a good manual for a beginner like myself to start with?
