1997 Lexus ES 300 Really Rough Ride

I jus recently replaced my factor rims/tires with a set of aftermarket 18'' Rims/tires for my car. I've noticed that ever since I've made this change, The ride isn't as "smooth" as it use to be. I can hear AND feel every "dip" and "bump" in the road. Is this a sign that the suspension in my car is failing? or is there a type of Tire I can purchase that will eliminate this noise?

Normally when using aftermarket wheels, the tires that are used are low profile tires. This on its own will cause a much rougher ride than the stock wheels/tires. Low profile tires are good performance tires and they look good as well, but they are not a comfort tire. Also, 18" wheels are much heavier than the stock wheels which will cause the suspension to work harder and wear out faster.

I am guessing this is your first set of aftermarket wheels? They are much different than stock wheels. That is why there are aftermarket suspenions components to coincide with these heavier wheels.
