1. If I change the rear struts of the car is a wheel alignment necessary.
2. DO I need to change the strut mounts along with the struts
3. One mechanic tells me that all the four struts are gone. The other says only the rear ones are gone. How do I know, whether I need to change only the rear ones or all four.
4. WHat is the approximate price for changing two rear struts without wheel alignment?
5. WHich strut is better Monroe or KYB and why?

you dont always need an alignment with the rear but wouldnt hurt to have it checked.

to test struts, bounce one corner of the car pretty good and step back. if vehicle bounces up to original height and doesnt continue to bounce that strut on that corner is good.

you can get a strut element for 40 bucks and have it installed for maybe 60 bucks labor to do so.

i usualy just replace the whole strut assembly for about 70 bucks, saves labor time.

you dont have to rpelace the mounts if they are in good shop.

and i have no prefference on different brands. get what you pay for.
