Driving along and all of a sudden felt like I dropped a cylinder. I replaced coil #2 cylinder two months ago when had same symptoms. I babied truck to auto parts store. checked codes and above codes came up. I replaced coils 5, and 7 on my own in their parking lot, truck still runs/idles awful! Idles fair for 20 seconds then acts like it’s loading up and smells of rich fuel and white smoke, oil pressure around 60% which is normal for this truck. towed to a mechanic friend and he’s thinking it’s timing chains, gears and actuators. had used Cataclean twice in last 1 1/2 years for catalytic converter codes which took care of the check engine light both times. could this be a catalytic converter issue by chance? anyone have any experience with this same type situation? In over my head now. apparently going to be $2,500.00 bill if he does said work. which is a ton of money to me. thank you all for any help or suggestions.
