Hello again,

I installed LED’s on my truck. There is no DRL and there is an orange female plug hanging off the three-way plug. I assume they are LED DRL input. If so, am I out of luck, or can you spare a fix of info.
Thanks,
Jim

Hi,

If the vehicle doesn't have DRL, I don't believe that will work. By chance, did the conversion kit come with a schematic? If it did, could you take a picture of it and upload it for me to see?

Let me know. Keep in mind, DRL requires different switches and wiring, so if the vehicle didn't come with them, chances are this won't work. I should be able to tell by the schematic.

Let me know.

It didn’t come with any kind of documentation. All it had was a color code for the 3-wire harness. The S10 did have running lights but it doesn’t work with the LED’s. It has a separate wire labeled DRL but where it is supposed to go is a mystery. I’m sorry for not much to go on. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi,

According to the wiring schematic, the orange wire is a power supply for the DRL and fog lights. It runs from fuse 19 in the IP fuse box to the DRL relay.

I attached the wiring schematic below. Let me know if they help.

Take care,

Joe

See pic below. Note: I had to cut the schematic in half to make it readable for you. I did overlap them, so you can follow from one to the next.

You are very welcome, Jim. Let me know what is found. If there is a way to do it, between the two of us, we'll get it.

Take care,

Joe
