Leaking fuel tank

Is it possible that when my brake line snapped it could have punctured my gas tank? They both started leaking at the same time and I have a broken brake line now

Thats very strange. You wouldn't think so, but I think the lines run next to each other on this vehicle and are very prone to rusting out.
