Hey everyone! Yesterday my vehicle began running really hot. I pulled over and found it was low on coolant. A guy at the gas station put some water in it, and I got it to my Dad's house. He and his friend looked at it and they found water leaking from a perfectly round hole that is about a 1/4" in size. They said the hole is on the driver's side and on the metal part, not the plastic. Dad had to loosen the sheathing to see it. He can see where the drain plug is, so it is not that. Also, when I tried to Google some information last night on it I thought it might be the hole for the water pump tp "weep" out of, but it seems those are generally near the water pump, and this is not. Any ideas? Thank you!

Are you sure you are not just looking at holes in the part of the body that the radiator sit down in?
Your best bet it to rent or borrow a cooling system pressure tester and with the radiator full, screw the tester onto where the radiator cap went and pump the cooling system up to 15psi and the leak will be a lot easier to see. If you have to remove anything that holds the radiator in and then just lift it up a few inches so you can see the bottom of the radiator, then do so. It might just be a loose lower radiator hose clamp.

Thank you for replying so quickly! I will ask my Dad. Him and his friend (who are both decent with cars) both said it was in the radiator itself, but I will verify.

Here is a video of a pressure test being done:

Please let us know what happens.
