leak engine front cover timing chain

I have a small leak coming from the engine front cover timing chain.
In the repair manual I read that when changing that gasket, the engine front cover has to be changed also.

If the cover is damaged at it's gasket surface, it will have to be replaced. That would be determined once it is removed.
