Hi,

The second pics you sent show part of the exhaust manifold gaskets. Pic 1 is a bit more difficult because I can't see if I'm looking at the water pump. As far as a leak, that is minimal. At least from what I'm seeing, it doesn't seem to be a problem. That really isn't uncommon.

Let me know if that helps answer your questions or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe

I just found out from looking at diagrams. That's the timing gasket! And maybe crank seal.

Hi,

Replacing the timing chain cover really isn't too hard it does require the removal of several things to access it.

If you look below, the directions for the removal and replacement of the cover are listed. Also, based on the mileage, you may want to consider replacing the timing chain while you are in there. It will be exposed once the cover is off.

Let me know.

Take care,

Joe

Is replacing the chain once the cover is off very difficult?

On this vehicle, it is really easy. Once the cover is off, there are only two sprockets to deal with, the crank pulley and the cam pulley.

The timing marks are really simple as well. The camshaft mark sits at 6 o'clock and the crankshaft mark sits at 12 o'clock.

If you do it, replace the tensioner as well. I attached the directions below.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
