up until last night the car ran great. The car started fine until 10 minutes later while at a stoplight i noticed a warning, "traction overheat" and then I noticed the tach was reading 0. The car was still running and the tach picked up as soon as I touched the gas. When I got home and turned the car off and tried to restart it started. This morning the battery was dead and would not start.

Some car forms reference the alternator going bad but don't talk about the error codes in their diagnosis.

Any ideas?

Hello .. thanks for the donation .. much appreciated I would start by replacing the battery .. have the alterantor checked .. and then have the vehicle plugged into a diagnostic computer to check for fault codes stored ? .. repost with the full codes for further assistance. let me know
