HI Guy's/I have just replaced the head gaskets on a 4.6 rangerover with gas conv,i had the heads machined etc squeezed out the followers etc,the engine starts fine when cold but that's it,i can eventually get it running if i disconnect the ect sensor, when i put it back after it starts i drops it's revs down to an aCCeptable level,BUT TURN OFF AND TRY AGAIN IT'S THE SAME OLD STORY,IT WAS RUNNING FINE WHEN IT CAME IN APART FROM THE BUBBLES AND PRESSURIZING,also since lifting off the ground the front sus won't rise ,any thoughts would be great,Great site by the way

Just for your information the problem has been sorted but you may like to know what we found for your future reference (1) broken wire to throttle position sensor ((usual RR wiring!!!))this also stop the gearbox from changing out of bottom gear) (2) Crank sensor intermirrent. (3) Battery although showing good voltage when cranking it was insufficient Rangies are votage sensative (4) BCM (ecu) under seat swamped with faults
when the above was sorted my customer said it had never gone so well,so all happy in Cornwall UK
Thanks Ken
