My anti lock brake system engages when it shouldn't
making for a possible dangerous condition.

The Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) is designed to prevent wheel lock-up during hard braking. This allows driver to maintain vehicle steering control and stability. ABS system consists of an ABS Electronic Control Unit (ECU), ABS modulator unit, brake booster and master cylinder, front and rear wheel speed sensors and exciter rings, Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV), an ABS ANTI-LOCK warning light, and a diagnostic plug connector.NOTE:For more information on brake system, see DISC article.

OPERATION
ABS ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT
The ABS Electronic Control Unit (ECU) controls, monitors and provides failure diagnostics for the brake system. The ABS ECU is located on passenger-side of dashboard, behind glove box. If there is an ABS ECU failure, the ABS ECU must be replaced as a complete unit. The ABS ECU is connected to the ABS harness by a sealed, Black 35-pin connector.
