My LR Discovery started running rough about 2 days before it stopped all together. I took it the shop and the mech. could not diag. it. No codes are registering. I think it may be the Mass airflow sensor. Not sure. The LR would start fine at first then once hot it would barley stay running rough idle chuging up to speed. When I drove it home from the shop The car was very hard to start once it started it barley ran chuged all the way pumping the gas pedel Then all at once the gas seemed to get to the engine and it took off when I got home the 2 cat. converters were glowing red hot. Some of the other research I have done is poss. the Mass Airflow Sensor. Not sure, any ideas would help me stay away from the LR dealer who charges 2 arm and a leg and treats you like dirt unless you are rich.
Thanks Wes

RETRIEVING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES
The Engine Control Module (ECM) is capable of storing fault codes. A lit service engine warning light indicates that a fault is present. For U.S. vehicles, these fault codes may be read by switching the ignition switch to ON position and observing the fuel injection fault display unit. Fuel injector fault display unit is located beneath right front seat. See Fig. 5 or Fig. 6 . The codes are displayed one at a time in the order of system priority. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE ORDER OF SYSTEM PRIORITY under DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS. To view the next code, when multiple codes are stored, the previous code must be cleared. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES . If no other codes are present, the display will appear blank.
