Engine Mechanical problem
2004 Land Rover Discovery V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic
Engine ran hot twice, enginge was allowed to cool after these incidents. I can smell burnt coolant, no obvious leaks on ground. Check undercariage saw evidence of coolant that splashed on the hot exhaust pipes. Unable to find origin of coolant leak at this time. I changed the oil, (used 10W-40) to solve the tapping noise of engine, no luck. Hoses runing to firewall are hot no problem there but I did experience no hot air in cabin but now it works properly. I also notice when I increase the idle or use the heat/ac the tapping noise from engine can not be heard.
FYI only 60,800 miles
Service Kept Vehicle, all paperwork avaiable.
