Engine Cooling problem
2004 Land Rover Discovery 2 V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 70k miles
I have a 2004 disco I started having oil leaks around the headgasket and had it changed. I also noticed around the same time the coolant leaking/buring because you could smell it. I had the headgaskets changed and had the coolant system checked for leaks found and replaced hose $200. since then i have been adding coolant to the system in hopes is was just air bubble in the system, I took it bakc to get pressure tested but no problem found. Now the machanic that had changed the gasket tells me I need a new radiator @ $500 + what is going on? I took it to the snow yesterday and the coolant was bubling and steaming after 1 hr of uphill driving. The coolant had been topped off to the line as suggested in the reserve tank. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
