already had the front drive shaft rebuilt. have brand new tires all the way around. all are balanced. but still has a vibration when i go 70 miles an hour or more. rear drive shaft hasnt been rebuilt, but feels tight and has no play in it. What else could this vibration be?

Is this a body vibration or can you feel it in the steering?

The Landrover drives fine until you get to about 65 mph. Then the vibration starts, gets worse til you get to 75-80 then smooths out. Has brand new tires all the way around. Balanced. All new U joints on front drive shaft. I feel my only options left are to replace cv joints or rebuild back drive shaft. Your input is greatly appreciated.

The vibration is not in the steering!

Hi there,

Body vibration is generated from the rear end, anywhere from transmission mounts, rear drive shafts, rear suspension alignment and damaged or badly worn components, tyres & rims, you will have to carefully check all the above, look for any signs of a balance weight missing from the rear drive shaft, this will do it.
