2000 Land Rover Discovery 2 Starter Motor

First of all thank you very much for your donation.I don't have access to tell me what size the bolt's are but it only pay's a half an hour to replace it so it should be easy to replace.Do you have tool's or do you have to buy some and need to know what to buy?

I have some tools, but I read that the starter is held in place by allen screws and positioned deep. I olny have some L shaped allen wrenches, and I dont think that will work.
I read that some tool extensions are needed to reach the allen screws that are fastening in the starter, so I would need to purchase that and wanted to make sure I was getting the right tools (and all of them) on my first trip.

I can't give you the website link where i got the information for you.It's a pay site that has a user name and password that our website use's to get information to it's user's.Sorry about that i did email you the information you should be able to read it better if you can't please let me know and i will do all i can to make it better for you.Now as far as allen bolt's holding in the starter i would look for yourself and see if that's true.You won't be able to use those L shaped allen wrenches to take them out if you disconnect the battery though you might be able use those wrenches to figure out what size you need.It's going to be a metric size probably at least a 10mm or bigger but that's just a guess.You will need a allen socket to take it out and put it back in.You will also need a extension also i would say at least a 6 or 8 inch one and a ratchet and some smaller socket's to take the wire's off the starter.But the main thing is to get a flash light and take a look at the starter for yourself and see how it's held in allen bolt's or normal one's.
