Lack of power when vehicle is in motion

When I step on the accelerator during drive is works well for few seconds then abruptly drops the RPM to around 2,500 and loses speed. It then limits the speed of the vehicle to around 40 MPH.

The vehicle was intermittent but now its stuck like that. In Park the vehicle revs up to 6,000 RPM with no problem but once in motion the problems begin.

Hello,

It sounds like the car is going into limp mode due to a dirty throttle bore causing the throttle sensor and actuator to lose correlation. Here are two guides to help us fix the problem start by disconnecting the battery.
