Runs good in idle but when start to move the engine diesels and spits and sputters and can't get it to move faster than 10 miles an hour.

It sounds like you have a weak fuel pump, clogged catalytic converter or a bad MAF or MAP sensor. to be sure we should run the codes by checking out this guide:
