Knocking noise, weak crank, barely any power?

Hello. i bought the vehicle listed above 2.5 TDI yesterday but there is a very loud knocking sound coming from the air filter or intercooler hose. The car starts sometimes but it's very weak. It starts but if i don’t press the gas pedal then it shuts off. When i bought it i could start it and go into gear and drive but it was very powerless and then when i drove some more it had less and less power. The sound is louder when i accelerate and now i can’t even start it and go into gear. if i try to go into gear when i start it, it shuts off.

If you know what it could be could you tell me the names of the parts needed to fix/replace?

and if it is possible to temporarily fix it so i can at least drive to my workshop (50km) since i can’t afford a tow truck here.

It sounds like the engine has an internal problem. Can you please shoot a quick video with your phone so I can hear the noise? That way I can tell for sure what's going on. You can upload it here with your response. We need to hear the noise, so we know which direction to go to help you fix the car. It takes time to upload so please be patient. There is no way to tell what's going on unless I hear the problem.
