Engine knocking

I have an engine Knocking on the top right hand side of my engine and can smell unburned fuel.

Got it.

Not a good sound at all. The engine sounds like it has had an internal failure. That sounds more like the bottom end rather than top end.

Either way, you have an internal failure which may result in major repairs once it is inspected whether in or out of the car.
