Knock sensor on back of motor?

It bolts to the side of the block up under the exhaust manifold and has a heat shield that should snap over it. If you have the sensor but not the shield you should be able to either, make one or get one from a dealer. It won't really cause poor mileage and with that year the code would only set if the sensor itself failed like an open or short.

I believe I seen that spot it has the heat shield and sensor plugged in I hope the bolt is there just dangling. Thank you for the reply, you are the first one to even have the slightest bit of information. So, if I have to travel from TN to Maryland, it will be okay if I can't find the bolt spot it goes ect.

Can I ask a few more questions about this car? I am a first-time ford owner, love the car. It runs smoothly and I have done a lot of code work like EGR code, fuel pump code, the torque converter code, still intermediate, but I have done a lot because the engine transmission solid body solid. just lots of stuff some fool never knew or tried to understand and fix.
