Knock Sensor - Bank 2 - circuit high input

I plan to replace the knock sensor for bank 2. however, I cannot seem to find its location. Bank 1 is suppose to be on top of the engine and bank 2 on the side. Everything I have looked up has not been helpful and only shows how to replace bank Can you please provide more information? A video or step by step instructions would be helpful!

Hi Ian,

I assume you have a P0333 DTC? The 2.5L has the knock sensor on the top of the engine. The 3.0L S-type engine has it on the side of the engine. I am not sure why they do this but they list them all together in diag codes and parts listings but your engine only has one sensor. Not one for each bank.

I even looked up the wiring diagram for your engine and there is only one and it states it is on the engine.

Sorry there is confusion but hopefully replacing your sensor it will resolve your issue. If not, let me know what codes you have and we can go from there. However, if you refer to the DTC diagram for your knock sensor codes (attached), you will see that most all of them are included in the same diagnostic. That shows that it is just one sensor on your engine.
