The knock sensor is on the side of the block. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

The knock sensor bolts into the side of the cylinder block in front of the starter under the intake manifold. Removal: Disconnect the negative battery cable. Disconnect electrical connector from knock sensor. Remove the bolt holding the knock sensor Remove the knock sensor Installation: Install knock sensor. Tighten knock sensor bolt to 22 Nm (195 in. lbs.) torque. Over or under tightening effects knock sensor performance, possibly causing improper spark control. Attach electrical connector to knock sensor. Connect the negative battery cable.

Most likely nothing

The knock sensor (KS) system enables the powertrain control module (PCM) to control the ignition timing for the best possible performance while protecting the engine from potentially damaging levels of detonation. The KS is located on the intake side of the engine block. The KS produces an AC voltage signal that varies depending on the vibration level during engine operation. The PCM adjusts the spark timing based on the amplitude and the frequency of the KS signal. The PCM receives the KS signal through a signal circuit. The KS ground is supplied by the PCM through a low reference circuit. The PCM uses the KS signal to calculate the average voltage and then assigns a voltage range value. The PCM should monitor a normal KS signal within the voltage range. If the PCM malfunctions in a manner that will not allow proper diagnosis of the KS system, this DTC sets.

I don't know the exact codes that came up but the Auto parts manager stated it was an issue with my knock sensor and another with the oxygen sensor. I looked up the part and they don't look difficult. Is this something I can do myself? Or is this a bigger problem?

You Have few O2 sensors have to have the code so you can tell witch one that is in need of replacement
not a bad job to do
