Can I change the knock sensor without taking the intake off? I know I can drop the transmission cross member on a two wheel drive but not sure on a four wheel drive.

Hello, I am Danny.

Unfortunately, you will have to remove the Intake manifold to gain access to the knock sensor. I have attached a few how-to steps to show you what to do as well as the torque specifications and sequence for reassembly. Be sure to use new gaskets when putting back together. When torquing intake manifold bolts upon assembly do it in three separate increments first to to 35 in lbs, second to 80 in lbs, and lastly third to 90 in lbs. Hope this helps and feel free to ask any questions if needed. Thanks for using 2CarPros.
