2002 Kia Sportage Runs Hot at Stop lights

My air conditioner runs cool when driver at moderate speeds but when I stop at lights it blows warm air.
What could be the problem?

is it just your air conditioner or is the engine also running hot at stops??? I had a similar problem but it turned out that the fan that cools the engine was not working right all the time. Check the temperature dial when this happens. If it is going up at the same time you notice the change, this could be the problem.
