Transmission problem

what can cause a tranmission modular control wire to go bad my car is jumping like they said tcm code kept kickin out didnt do it before i took to dealship for a tune up then started. didnt get out the parking lot and it did it. never did it before they said wire maybe burned out or loose and its 85 dollars an hour its that so
