My Kia Spectra blows hot air when the AC is turned on. I brought it to a garage and the mechanic supposedly tested all the hardware components and said everything was fine. He concluded it would be an electrical problem, but after forking over the cash for the diagnostics so far, I did not want to keep going at that point. Is this a common problem with spectras? Is it something a layman could troubleshoot with a chiltons?
