Noises problem
2004 Kia Sorento Two Wheel Drive Automatic 79000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
I believe it is coming from the interior because when you pop the hood you can't hear it. it is a constant thumping sound and I notice it more when I am stopped. I don't notice it when I'm driving but then again there is road noise. The radio was off and so was the air and fan. The thumping noise is noticeable whether you are stopped or in park. I need to know if this is safe to drive, should I expect it to be covered under warranty, etc. I need to know as much as possible. I have called the dealerships but the service department was closed after I noticed the noise and I was told to call the road side assistance number but the only thing they can do is tow it which would leave me with out a vehicle. Thanks
PS when I open the hood I don't hear this thumping noise to try and pin point it. Granted I have not gotten underneath the car though. You can feel the thumping in the steering wheel and hear it inside.
