my kia sephia slips in 3rd but works fine in 1st 2nd and od .is the transmission gone or is there a sensor i could check

Your transmission is going bad. You can try one thing to buy you some time, but it will need repaired or replaced. You can have the transmission flushed and add trans x to the transmission oil. This will give you a little time, but not repair it.
