2005 Kia Sedona 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

At approximately 11:15 AM today, 25 June 09, I submitted a reqest with donation, asking for repair data to assist in removal and replacement of the timing belt. It is now 10:12 PM and I cannot locate your reply. Where is it? Need to get this job completed.

Hello and thanks for the donation! We apologize that we haven't been able to get to your issue sooner. Below are the replacement procedures for your vehicle's timing belt. If you need further assistance with this repair, feel free to let me know. REMOVAL: Remove the engine cover Remove the drive belt Remove the idler pulley, crankshaft pulley, power steering pulley and tensioner pully Remove the upper and lower timing belt cover Support the engine with a jack and remove the engine mounting insulator Remove the auto tensioner Remove the timing belt.

INSTALLATION: Install idler pulley to the engine support lower bracket Install the tensioner arm, shaft and plain washer to the cylinder block (tighten to 35 - 55 Nm) Install the crankshaft sprocket Install the camshaft sprocket Install the auto tensioner to the oil pump case Align the timing marks of each sprocket and install the timing belt, maintaining the proper belt tension between each shaft in this order Crankshaft sprocket, idler pulley, left bank exhaust camshaft sprocket, left bank intake camshaft sprocket, water pump pulley, right bank intake camshaft sprocket, right bank exhaust camshaft sprocket and tensioner pulley After installing the timing belt, exert the reverse-directed force to the right bank exhaust camshaft sprocket to give tension on the belt. Holding this state, recheck if each timing mark is correctly positioned With tensioner pulley slightly pushing the belt down, tighten the center bolts slightly Pull out the auto tensioner set pin
