Transmission problem
2002 Kia Sedona Engine Size unknown Front Wheel Drive Automatic 160000 miles

i am changing a transmission on a 2002 kia sedone front wheel drive and i was looking at the cross member that goes wright under the tranny and its welded into place .
on other models ive worked on they were bolted and i only needed to take it off so there would be room for the tranny to comme out from under the car i was wondering if possibly i had to grind it off , cut it or perhaps these vans were made so that you could take the transmission out overhead instead of underneath ?
