My car is overheating whenever I turn on the air conditioning. What maybe the problem? I know it needs new belts and I planning to get them put on shortly. Could old belts be causing any of this?

Old belts could be slipping or the cooling fans are not coming On or the computer not raising the idle to compensate for the compresssor load, also a bad coolant temperature sensor/fan relays-
